Teeth alignment treatment
The aim is to align the teeth to achieve an esthetic smile. It concerns children, teenagers, and also adults.
The kids are mostly treated with metallic braces. For more discretion we can choose ceramic braces that are transparent. Today another way is to prefer aligners. There are made in plastic, that is why this treatment is called invisible.

The goal is to correct the position of the jaws and their development. Its ai mis to correct the growth in quantity and in direction. These problems are ofter related to the posture, to the position of the tongue, or bad habits (nipple, thumb sucking, lip sucking). It concerns kids from the youngest age to get an easy treatment. It can use removable or fixed devices. These problems must be resolved with other professionals like orthophonist, ENT, podiatrist, pediatrician or ophtalmologist. This is possible at Pole Oise Santé.
It is importnat to remind that these treatments aim to correct the position of the teeth from a natural position to a new esthetic position, which is not the regular one. To maintain the result, we need to make a retainer to prevent recidivism.

Steps of teeth alignment treatment
- The first appointment :
It is the introduction between the patient and the doctor. It is the first contact and a screening session. The goal is to check is there is a need for an orthodontic treatment and to define the urgency : do we need to start now or wait. - The orthodontic assessment :
We will proceed to a further medical and orthodontic analysis. We will make photos, impressions, X-rays to get an orthodontic diagnostic so that we can choose a treatment option togeither. - Setting the devic :
During this appointment we will put the device into the mouth to get the right corrections. - Follow up :
The patient is under monitoring. We have follow up every sx to eight weeks to watch the corrections. We use continuous low forces as the sudies now required. Some treatment need close follow up (every 2 to 3 weeks). - End of treatment and retainer :
When all the wanted corrections are obtained, the device is removed. It does not mean the end of the tretament. Now is the time for retainer : this device is needed to keep the alignment and prevent the recidivism. Other follow up sessions are required to make sure everything is fine.
